How Much Does a Virtual Office Cost per Month?
Last updated 9 min read Sources listed at the end
A virtual office costs $39.99 to $275 a month on published starting prices, before setup fees, postage and add-ons.
The low end is a mailbox-style plan with a company name on the label and a phone number; the high end is a Regus package with phone answering and five days of office space a month, priced on a 24-month contract.
Opus, which sells one flat $99/mo package, describes $50 to $300 a month as the typical range across the industry. The tables below show what sits inside each price and which fees are billed on top, so you can total a plan before you sign. If you only need the address and mail layers, the virtual office overview explains when a mailbox plan does the same job for less. Monthly prices by provider
Each row is a plan as the provider lists it. "From" means the provider publishes a starting figure that rises by location; where a provider publishes no number at all, the cell says so rather than guessing.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| iPostal1 Virtual Business Address | from $14.99 | No contract; 30-day refund if unused | Mailbox plan with envelope scanning; "1 company name and up to 6 recipient names per address." Four tiers from $14.99 (30 items) to $44.99 (240 items), at Standard-tier locations. | Checked November 3, 2026 (source: ipostal1.com, opens in new tab) |
| iPostal1 Virtual Office | from $39.99 | No contract; 30-day refund if unused | Same mailbox service and company-name allowance, plus a phone and fax number with voicemail (toll-free on the two top tiers). Inbound calls are billed per minute ($0.015 to a local number); live or AI call answering is a $49/mo add-on. | Checked November 3, 2026 (source: ipostal1.com, opens in new tab) |

Regus prices are location-specific; a downtown center in a large city will publish higher "from" figures than the suburban Texas example used here.
What moves the price
Four things explain most of the spread between $39.99 and $275.
Which layers are in the box
An address-and-mail plan is the floor. Adding live phone answering is the biggest single jump: at Regus it is the difference between Business Address at $99 and Virtual Office at $199 at the same center. Adding included workspace is the next: Virtual Office Plus at $275 brings meeting rooms and five office days. Opus bundles answering into its base price, which is why its $99 looks cheap next to Regus's $199 and expensive next to Davinci's $49.
Location
Office-center providers price each building. Davinci says the address price "will depend on the location that is chosen" and Regus quotes a different "from" price per center. Mailbox-style providers price by plan tier and by a location tier: iPostal1's published figures are for Standard-tier locations and rise at its Select, Premium and Prestige addresses.
Contract term
Regus's published figures assume 24 months. Opus states it has no long-term contracts, and iPostal1 sells month to month with a 30-day refund if the box goes unused. Two plans with the same monthly price can differ by more than two thousand dollars in commitment.
Company name on the label
If you need mail addressed to the company rather than to you, iPostal1 moves you from its $9.99 Virtual Mailing Address tier to the $14.99 Virtual Business Address tier. That $5 step is the cheapest "office" upgrade on this page, and it is the one most LLC owners actually need. Checked November 3, 2026 (source: ipostal1.com, opens in new tab)
Fees billed on top of the plan
| Fee | Provider | Amount | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup fee | Davinci | from $150 | One-time, for virtual office addresses; includes the online notary for the CMRA form. |
| Scheduled mail forwarding | Alliance | $10 to $70/mo | $10 monthly, $20 biweekly, $30 weekly, $70 daily. Pickup at the center is free. |
| Postage on forwarded mail | Davinci | Varies | "Cost of postage additional, rates vary by location." |
| Toll-free number, call recording, texting, call log, conferencing bridge, international transfer | Opus | $10/mo each | Listed individually as add-ons to the $99 package. |
| Additional extension or voice box | Opus | $25/mo | Per extension. |
| Supervised transfer or message taking | Opus | $50/mo each | Receptionist services beyond basic answering. |
| Extra business name (DBA), mail only | Opus | $59/mo | Per additional name. |
| Appointment scheduling | Opus | from $100/mo | Starting figure on the plans article. |
| Live or AI call answering | iPostal1 | from $49/mo | Add-on on any plan; the Virtual Office tiers include the phone number but not a person answering it. |
| Mail items above the plan limit | iPostal1 | $0.35 per item | Applies to every iPostal1 plan family. |
| Live receptionist minutes | Alliance | Not published | Sold in 50, 100 and 200 minute plans; price not shown on the pages checked. |
| Meeting room time past included hours | Alliance, Davinci | Local hourly rates | Alliance books extra time "at your location's local rates"; Davinci bills rooms by the hour at rates it gives by phone. |
Scanning and forwarding fees on mailbox-style plans follow the mailbox provider's schedule rather than the list above; the iPostal1 review has that fee table, and the cost calculator totals it at your mail volume. Checked November 3, 2026 (source: alliancevirtualoffices.com, opens in new tab)
Three example monthly totals
These use only the published figures above. Where a fee is unpublished, the example leaves it out and says so, which means the real total can only be higher.
Address and company name, no phone
iPostal1 Virtual Business Address at $14.99/mo covers the address, envelope scanning and a company name on the label. Open-and-scan requests and forwarding are per item on top, as on any mailbox plan. Base total: $14.99/mo, with no setup fee and no contract. This is the number to beat before paying for an "office" tier.
Address plus live answering
Opus at $99/mo includes the receptionist, a business number and fax. Add a toll-free number at $10/mo. Total: $109/mo, no contract, no setup fee listed. The mailbox route: iPostal1 Virtual Office at $39.99 plus its $49/mo answering add-on is $88.99/mo before per-minute call charges, and it includes scanning but no rooms at all.
Address, answering and room time
Regus Virtual Office Plus at the League City example is from $275/mo on a 24-month contract, or at least $6,600 over the term. The Davinci route is from $49/mo plus a setup fee from $150, with rooms billed hourly at an unpublished rate, so a first year starts at $738 before any room time.
When a virtual mailbox is the cheaper answer
If the phone and the conference room are the parts you would not use, you are paying for an office you never visit. A mailbox plan from $9.99/mo at iPostal1 or $10/mo at PostScan Mail gives the same CMRA street address and better scanning than most office-center plans; the cheapest virtual address guide compares true monthly totals at a given mail volume. Two cases where the office tier earns its price: you need calls answered in the business name during the day and would otherwise hire a separate answering service, or you meet clients in person often enough that included room hours replace hourly bookings. Neither case changes the address rules: a virtual office still cannot be your registered agent, and it does not qualify for Google Maps unless your own staff work there, as the Google Business Profile guide explains. For what each tier actually includes, go back to what a virtual office is.
FAQ
Is there a cheap virtual office?
The lowest published office-tier figure on the pages checked is iPostal1's Virtual Office at $39.99/mo, which includes a phone and fax number but not a person answering it, and its $14.99 Virtual Business Address tier already allows a company name on the label. Davinci starts at $49/mo but adds a one-time setup fee from $150.
How much does a Regus virtual office cost?
At the League City, Texas example location, Regus publishes Business Address from $99/mo, Virtual Office from $199/mo and Virtual Office Plus from $275/mo, all on 24-month contracts. Each Regus center publishes its own figures, so check the page for the city you want.
Are there hidden fees with a virtual office?
The fees are usually published but easy to miss: Davinci's setup fee from $150, Alliance's $10 to $70/mo scheduled forwarding, postage on every forwarded item, Opus's $10 to $100/mo phone add-ons, and meeting-room time past included hours at local rates. Total the ones you would use before comparing base prices.
How this page is sourced
The prices on this page were read directly from each provider's own pricing or plan page by Cedrick Reese for VirtualMailboxBusiness.com, and each figure is stamped with the date it was read. Where a provider does not publish a number, the table says "not published" instead of estimating. Regus figures come from one example center because Regus prices by location. The page is rechecked when a provider changes a plan.
